Photo Backdrops are a great way to add depth and realism to your model railroad or diorama project. As a model railroader I know that different modelers like to do things different ways. That's why there are a few ways to order backdrops from this website. If you do find a backdrop on here that would be perfect for your railroad or project please read more about these options by scrolling to the bottom of this page.
For now, backdrops are available in heights of 12", 18" and 24" Backdrops 24" tall are currently only available as CDs or single printed rolls. Panels in 24 " should be coming soon. Many backdrops can be found in all threee sizes. Please click on the gallery image below for the size you are looking for.

Backdrop Ordering
Below is a brief description of the options available on this website for backdrop ordering.
Panel KitsEach backdrop or section is available as a kit which consists of a series of panels which can be assembled to form the image. Panels in the 12" Gallery are 18" long each, and panels in the 18" Gallery are 12" long each. Panel Kits are printed with a lustre finish. A lustre finish allows for the color saturation of a glossy print but is not as shiny. It is also more resistant to fingerprints.
Digital FileShipped on a CD this option allows for the most personal choice in printing. There are many options out there for photo printing. From paper type to the desired finish these choices depend on individual taste and cost desired. Digital files will be shipped on a CD and will include all size variations of that image as well as having the image cropped into the various panel options. This allows you to simply take it to the print shop of your choice and have it printed the way you prefer.
Single Roll PrintsFull backdrops and sections can be printed on a single roll. This is a bit pricier but some may find it simpler than panels. Rolls are printed on heavy bonded paper.
Custom PrintIf you find an image you really like but its not quite the size you are looking for, we may be able to do a custom print. Email me at Burgess@heretotherephotography.com to discuss custom printing.
